On October 21st, LEAD announced a full-capital buyout of Ontec, an automatic equipment manufacturer, at an inauguration ceremony of acquisition cooperation it launched in Germany. Since then, LEAD has become the first Chinese Li-ion battery equipment company featuring a center of competence in Europe.
Mr. Wang Yanqing, chairman of LEAD, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Dr. Andre Mecklenburg, CTO of VW battery subsidiary, Markus Birkhan, head of Siemen’s Germany battery industry, Dr. Oliver Bär, speaker of Naira district, Mayor Frank Stumpf, and representatives from world-leading automotive host and battery companies, including CATL, Northvolt, ACC, EVE, SVolt, and Farasis Energy, attended the event.
With over 2 decades of experience in electrical engineering, robot technology and industrial image processing, the Naira-based factory would provide non-standard equipment and automatic solutions to European customers. LEAD would retain the factories of Ontec and take over its machine, process technology and personnel.
As a significant move for Lead’s global operation, the buyout would strongly boost the company’s efforts to expand overseas markets. The acquisition would also present a professional non-standard European service team to LEAD, further upgrading LEAD’s processing technology and service quality and improving its local production, processing and service in Europe to promote customer satisfaction.
To upgrade its global network and resource allocation to handle ever-expanding international business, LEAD has established 11 overseas subsidiaries and provided equipment and services to recognized automobile and battery manufacturers worldwide with the highest market share in Europe and beyond. Taking the buyout as an opportunity, LEAD will be committed to refining its global service system and integrating its rich experience in platform operation into differentiated services to further promote international operations.
